Today was a fantastic day for a working mother of four in St. Charles, Missouri as Storm Solutions Roofing and Contracting, Habitat for Humanity St. Charles and GAF Materials Corporation partnered to install a brand-new roof on a home being built for her family.
“Storm Solutions Roofing & Contracting is honored to support our partnership with Habitat for Humanity while giving back to our local St. Louis neighborhoods,” said Storm Solutions Roofing CEO, Jeff Tyrrell. “We take great pride in knowing we support our local charities by providing affordable housing to families in our area. It really gives us joy to give back to the community that has supported our family through our company for years.”
While Storm Solutions Roofing supplied the manpower, the materials for the project were donated by GAF Materials Corporation, the nation’s largest roofing and ventilation manufacturer.
“We are very excited to have the opportunity to show our support for local community efforts such as this home through this partnership with Habitat for Humanity,” said Paul Bromfield, senior vice president of marketing at GAF. “It is an added benefit that through this arrangement we are also able to support our dedicated contractors who are local leaders in installation and share our interest in contributing to their communities, such as Storm Solutions Roofing.”
Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County is committed to creating home ownership opportunities for working families. Since its inception in 1996, Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County has built 57 homes in Wentzville, O’Fallon, St. Charles, and Portage Des Sioux. These homes were built in partnership with qualifying St. Charles County families of diverse backgrounds.
Habitat families work in local manufacturing, retail, health and other service industries, earning between 30% – 60% of the median income.
Habitat for Humanity utilizes the financial and human resources of area churches, businesses, foundations, individuals, civic organizations and qualified, low-income families to advance the mission of home ownership.
